Encouragement in Trials

I have to be honest, 2024 has started out pretty rough for me. I had a run-in with a snowblower (which could’ve been much worse!), I came down with Covid for the second time in my life, and the Bills are, once again, not playing in the Super Bowl! It has been difficult for me to stay positive in the midst of these (and other) hardships. But then I consider all the hardships that the Apostle Paul endured (check out 2 Corinthians 11:16-29 for an extensive record of his sufferings).

However, in spite of all of Paul’s sufferings, he was still able to say in Romans 8:18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. Hardships and trials are going to continue to occur throughout this year and the years to come until the Lord returns for us. Until that day, let us encourage one another with the hope of the incomparable glory that is in store for those who trust in the Lord!

Blessings,
Pastor Zach
